Call for paper (NAFOL)

There are limited places in this seminar and NAFOL-candidates with a presentation will be given  priority.  The summer-school is open for all NAFOL-cohorts.

There will be two optional calls for papers for the NAFOL-candidates:

Call 1:

We call for abstracts (500-1000 words) where the candidates discuss their own project in view of one or two of the following articles, relevant for the theme of the summer school:

  • DeZutter, S. (2011). Professional Improvisation and Teacher Education: Opening the Conversation. In K. Sawyer (Ed.), Structure and Improvisation in Creative Teaching (pp. 1-26). Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.
  • Jarning, H. (2006). Dewey square: Lærerarbeid, didaktikk og improvisasjon. In K. Steinsholt & H. Sommero (Eds.), Kunsten å sette seg selv på spill. Oslo: NW Damm og Søn AS.
  • Sawyer, K. (2011). What Makes Good Teachers Great? The Artful Balance of Structure and Improvisation. In K. Sawyer (Ed.), Structure and Improvisation in Creative Teaching (pp. 1-26). Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.

Articles will be distributed upon request, please make request for articles to r15@hsh.no

Candidates with accepted abstracts will be asked to submit an extended abstract of approx. 2000 words two weeks before the summer school.

Structure of the session:

  • Paper-presentation 15 min each
  • Feedback from discussants 10 min each

Deadline for abstracts:  January 30th 2015.  Please submit the abstracts to: r15@hsh.no

Call 2:

We call for an extended abstract (max 2000 words) on one of the articles which you intend to include in your dissertation.

Candidates with accepted abstracts will be invited to take part in a workshop “From abstract to article” chaired by professor Kari Smith. (Two session a 90 minutes).

Deadline for abstracts:  January 30th 2015.  Please submit the abstracts to: r15@hsh.no

Process-seminars and Master classes
